David to write “cult” book

Big Brother evictee David Tchappat wants to release a book about his experiences growing up in the Exclusive Brethren sect.

The 33-year-old fire-fighter has already penned the story of his experiences growing up in the reclusive group who shun TV, radio and the outside world and is now looking for a publisher.

"I want to call it ‘Losing My Religion’… there’s a bit of interest in it… A Current Affair want me this week some time… so hopefully something can come of it," Tchappat told OHBROTHER.com.au

Tchappat escaped the isolated community of his upbringing at 19 where he had to start his life from scratch.

Before entering the ‘real world’ 13 years ago he’d never seen a movie, kissed a girl... click HERE to read on... and to listen to an interview with David.

Oh my goodness David, so dull and dumb, so much flew over his head last night on BM, and in that house.
Bet we never see that book published.

Bb has become the Ben & Nobbi show for me this week, circling each other like sharks so fascinating, Ben in the weaker position, hoping intruders even things up.
Dixie continues to be itneresting.
And Brigette has gone up the scale for her correction of Terri's grammar - although Terri remains ignorant of what me/my, mean, and Brigette has been cracking some fantastic oneliners lately. I think Brigette is realising she has a chance.

He certainly was portrayed as VERY VERY BORING on the show.

He was in a cult. Let's put that to one side for a minute, as interesting as this could have been. Heavens knows (pun not intended), we didn't hear much interesting stuff on the show and I doubt the HM's did either. But let's forget about that for a moment.

The bloke has been a cop and currently a fireman. Most cops or firies that I know (having been a firie myself) are full of interesting stories and anecdotes. While you can't always (or want to) share those stories, David was running a close second to Ben in the Cardboard cutout stakes.

Normally when you learn that someone is a cop, a firie, an alien hunter or whatever (or even a journo), that usually sparks discussion. But seemingly not with David!

Bad editing or a true record of the man?

BB needs to get back to its roots. I miss Carmel. I miss that pyschological experiment feel that BB used to have (even if was suspect). The OS doesn't even have a personality analysis of the HMs anymore. Just an astrological one.

I'm sorry Tim, but BM is a disappointment. I thought it would be intelligent discussion on the issues raised in the house, especially since you are on the panel. Instead its just rude bits, make fun of the contestants and other inane stuff.

I don't think Terri is ignorant of me/my. In some socio-econmomic groups some people pronounce 'my' as 'me'. My father does it on occasion. He knows the difference between 'me' and 'my'. When he writes, he uses the words in the correct context.

I think Terri is great. She's fitted in well. She knows when to join in and when to give the younger HMs space. I'd like an intruder of Terri's age to join the house. I think the dynamics could be fascinating.

Bianca is interesting and I want her to stay as long as possible. More than any other HM, Bianca is on a journey of self-discovery. I'd like to see where she ends up.

Interesting enough for a book, not interesting enough to talk about in a houseful of people so bored they must resort to climbing a tree naked for entertainment?

Kate, on the last episode of Erk to the Diary Room, my co-host Ben was talking about not wanting to see Kombi naked on BM (or anywhere else, presumably). He went on to talk about other naked guys and girls in the house but I had to stop him there because ..... who else has there been?

Not that nudity should be the issue and not that nudity should dominate BM but the fact is, Kombi is the only one doing something in that department (with the possible exception of Rory) so of course they are going to show that because they are so starved of MA visual content.

Tuesday's DS is a classic example about what is wrong with BB this year. They show highlights of what is coming up. They show Alice with a Guide Dog. So what does that mean? Of course, that means that Alice won the task because all through yesterday's DS, they said the dog was the prize. So why bother to watch the DS? That would be like someone watching a game of football on the TV but at the start of the game, telling you the final score.

And what is coming on tomorrow's show as seen in the preview for tomorrow (Wednesday)? Dixie wants to leave AGAIN. BORING!

Has there ever been such a bunch of soft c*ck HM's that want to go home every 5 minutes? The next time someone wants to go home BB, let them. Let them go, no prizes, no eviction parties, no nothing.

I didn't kiss a girl until I was 22.

Where's my spot into the BB house?

Where's my appearance on BM?

Where's my book deal?

Where's my appearance on ACA?

David Who Cares has left the building and will probably be back at work on Monday without anyone ever knowing he was on TV!

He'll be all like "I was SO on TV" and his buddies at the Fire Station will be all like "were not! We didn't see you!" :P

Just had a listen to the interview - methinks David talked himself up a bit too much re: the book and having people he meets craving to hear his story once he lets out about the whole cult business. In the house he didn't come across as anything special, I don't know whether the book will get published even now that he's out...

Agreed with erk re: everyone wanting to leave every 5 minutes, its doing my nut in too. I swear, the next time Dixie says that, BB should just say "go on, leave then" or words to that effect. Would be interesting to see if she changes tack and stops whinging ;o)

Shell, if BB was to grant Dixie 180 her request to go home, she'd whinge that she was out of the house!
