Travis the childish call centre worker from Sydney was booted from Big Brother tonight as the show builds to the finale this Monday.
The diminutive 20-year-old’s high-pitched voice and immature antics frustrated many viewers as the dwindling number of housemates made his irritating behaviour more obvious.
Travis has had a spectacular journey in the house after first being suspected of being gay, and then having soap squirted in his eyes by some of the other boys in the house as he sat on the toilet.
That incident led to him being... click HERE to read more.

I was surprisingly disappointed to see Travis gone tonight. His "possimism" grated on me increasingly as time went on, but he was such a big part of this season.
Rory's odds are far too short for my liking. Unfortunately, without the recent wave of Terri supporters there with a "save" option, I don't disagree that he has a good chance, with Terri's supporters splitting between Rory and Ben. I will be so disappointed if he comes through at the 11th hour and takes it.
I am hoping for a Ben win, but not holding my breath.
I was surprised to see that Travis had a higher evict percentage than the Alice but then I was surprised to see Alice go. Travis's "immature antics" frustrated the fuck out of me particularly in the last few days. I've said this elsewhere but I've never met a person who is as uncomfortable in their own skin as he is. The posing and the grins etc. He comes across to me as someone who is incapable of sitting with his feelings. Another observation. Have you ever noticed that when sitting in the DR chair, Travis always had one leg up on the chair. At no time in his 84 days did he sit with both feet on the ground. Even on stage he sat forward with elbows on his knees. A very odd and annoying fellow but somewhat likeable don't you think. I am pleased though that he got this far.
I, also, am glad that Travis went.
I have never really liked him -
I agree with Tim - as the house
dwindled, more viewers could see
how irritating Travis was.
I actually hope Rory wins. When
Bland Ben was saved last night I
just had this feeling that he
would win - probably the most
forgettable housemate in this
series. Don't they always win!!!
replying to firehorse:- I noticed
Travis in the diaryroom as well.
In older series Big Brother was
always so strict with the way
housemates sat in the room - feet
and legs on the chair were banned.
Who will win? Hopefully not Ben - at least the others provided entertainment whether they were likeable or not. They put themselves out there - Ben is just bland and snide and shouldn't be rewarded for that.
Many elements of this year's Big Brother irritated the shite out of me -that no-talent scared chipmunk looking wanker Sandilands and Suburban Pwincess Jackie, the lack of Mike Goldman's Up Late, the embarrassingly cheapo prizes -no cars, crap holidays -the Housing Commission house -no pool, small yard, no rewards room, etc -the re-hashed "The Fat" replica, also known as Big Mouth, and its mundane host Squires and vile idiot Wilson -would have been SO much better if it was BB-related former house-mates such as Tim, Vesna et al..
And house-mates such as Saxon, Brigitte, Alice and Travis..
Thank the Lord the yobbo buffoon Saxon went early, finally Bwigitte got the flick.. but the sight of Robo-Vet Alice marching perpetually on that walking machine drove me mad -good plan, fool, make sure you go by having a hissy over just five more days of compulsive marching..
But of all of it, this wierd, falsetto, sugary, YAY chanting dickhead Travis did my head in the most.. I don't see him as cute, or naive, or child-like -I see him as a supremely irritating, grating, noisy, trivial, and ultimately pathetic, plain pain in the arse.
I mean, what is this idiot going to be like at 30 ? Can you imagine this mouth-gaping, squealing dork at 40 ? And trust me, his voice is not that of a child or even a castrato -he is CHOOSING to speak in his upper register, in a falsetto -for reasons not immediately apparent -but definitely also exhibited in his pink sunglasses and effeminate presentation -perhaps clinging to his immaturity, perhaps gender dysphoria -whatever -I just found him annoying to the point of changing the channel..
Life is filled with small moments -and hearing Travis being evicted was a small, joyous, cathartic moment for me..
All three are undeserving of the loot. What a dumb show!
Ben - I hope he wins, he's far funnier than most HMs, just about everything that comes out of his mouth is misunderstood humour, too bad the rest of them have been mostly too dim to get him.
Heard any rumours about the future for BB? I have heard stuff I cannot repeat.
Was the manipulation of Nanna to win a push for an older audience in the future, with Bb at a later timeslot???
Timmy -
You asked for suggestions for while your at the BB finale/Gold Coast.
I would love to hear from behind the scenes production people/camera operators - their favourite Hms from all the series, and the ones they can't stand.
They see and hear all, and it's obvious some personalities don't translate so well across TV screens, plus we don't get to see everything, and lots of them are struck dumb in the BB house, and some seem to ham it up for the cameras.
do you really think the public has been manipulated? after all 2 of the 3 finalists are 'good looking' boys and the audience is supposedly predominately teenage girls.
Hi Tim,
Just wondering if - now that I assume you are no longer employed at BB... you think that the manipulation of the voting tonight was just a little too obvious and may take a little of the shine off this wonderful example of intergenerational harmony?
I would wager that we never would have seen the real numbers at the start of the show if there was a clear trend to Terri. The graphic had the intended effect of mobilising the (demographically older and less likely to vote) pro Terri crowd.
The unintended blow back which left invisible man Ben in front, was easily corrected by the backflip decision to show the graphic again and some not so subtle verbal hints that it was also important to vote for Ben.
Or am I being too cynical...
It was pretty obvious that a Terri win was wanted. But it was a stupid system to start with. It should be vote to save. Otherwise the more polarising HMs get evicted and a fly-under-the radar type wins. Again.
The manipulation of the voting is nothing new. I'm still miffed that Jamie won BB6 - the result of the most blatant audience manipulation ever IMO.
I hope Rory got a decent prize.
I'm glad Terri won and I did vote like mad to evict the other 2 (as much as that sounds like I was manipulated by the show, I wasn't - I've wanted Terri to win for the last couple of weeks and I stated my views earlier on the subject - its only the 2nd time this has happened for me, first being Reggie). Had Ben got anywhere near the $250K, I would've been spewing cos I don't think he deserved to win. If Rory had've won, I think I would've had mixed feelings ala Aleisha winning in '07 - on one hand, sad that the person who I wanted to win didn't win (Zach last year, Terri this year); mad that a person who had aligned themselves with a "bully" figure (Aleisha with Emma, Rory with Nobbi) had won and also on the other hand, being somewhat ok with it cos they may just put the money to good use.
Tim you might be able to answer this for me - on the highlights of all the seasons package we viewers got at the end, (aside from seeing Constance the scrag again - man I hated that bitch) I saw the guy from your series who didn't end up getting a car cos he was an absolute arsehole (aside from saying that all he was on the show for was to get the car). For the life of me, I cannot remember his name, but I do remember how much of a sexist/racist/homophobic tool he was (he was at 2 out of the 3 from memory)...could you enlighten me perhaps?
I'll talk more about the finale in whatever wrap-up Tim's got in store for us.
Shell, I think you are thinking of Nelson.
I too will wait until Tim does a final rap (I think he might be a bit busy with his handycam at the moment) before commenting on the final.
HA HA I remember that dickhead Nelson from Tim's year!
As for tonight's finale: rather limp, the show went out with a whimper, instead of a bang!
And, the voting was again manipulated so they'd get a certain winner in the end. Remember what happened in 2005? Tim was robbed, and those Logan idiots won!
Anyway, I look forward to Tim's comments when he gets back from the Gold Coast.
Cheers,
EVAN
I have a hard time believing that Nelson wasn't set up by Big Brother. Who gets thrown out of the house, and then the first thing they do is start listing the prizes they hope to get? Even after Gretel did a big set up, with a smug: "so, you came in for the prizes, huh? what did you have in mind...?, he is still blathering on about how he hoped to get a car, while Gretel sat there grinning at him.
The fact that Dean and Constance got caught for the same reason makes this theory difficult to swallow, but still...who would sit there and say that? Kicked off the show? In front of a tiny crowd, in a makeshift elimination room? "So sorry you got kicked off for lying on your application, this room isn't quite big enough for your lexus but we'll be sure and let you know how you can collect it". Idiot.
I also thought the finale was very
lacklustre. I also thought it was
interesting that when they were
doing recaps of past seasons the
person that was proclaimed the
winner of each season (apart from
Reggie) was not shown (very much
if at all) in the recaps. Obviously
because they were the most boring
people of that season.
Aha, thanks Erk! :o) Was doing my head in a bit trying to think about who he was...what a douchebag.
"Shell said...
Aha, thanks Erk! :o) Was doing my head in a bit trying to think about who he was...what a douchebag."
Wasn`t it a requirement to apply for the show that you had to be a douchebag?
I can count on one decapitated hand the number of housemates that were actually memorable.
