Keeping up with old Timbo

Big Brother will soon be over. But that doesn't mean you have to miss out on the rantings of your old mate timbo.

There's gallons more excitingness over at TimBrunero.com. There's videos, stories, interviews and other videos, stories and interviews. It's a world of well, it's a world of me.

So why not head over there now and bookmark it! Or even better sign up on the right hand sidebar for 'feedburner' so you get an email when I post a freshly minted bit of genius. And because my email address is over there I won't miss you either.

If you're a regular you'll have the comfort of knowing, when you see me roll past in my Maserati, that you've contributed in some way to my enormous wealth. A wealth I hide really well by living like a pauper in a 5 bedroom share house in Newtown with a bunch of slackers.

Go on, go have a look - stop toying with me - and don't forget to bookmark it or sign up for the emails - I'd appreciate it so muchly...

Love you Timmy and will continue to stalk you across the internet.

It's so eeny meeny mynee mo, who should stay and who should go/or win this year - I want them to let us vote the most worthy past runner up gets the money, that would be you.
And Zach deserves an honourable mention.

Ben can win by default, at least he has potential & he's young and silly not old and stupid, or Rory just because he's poor & should go to art school.

I think you should start blogging on dancers or Doctor Who.

Will you be taking this site down or will it remain in the hope of BB's return? It would be a shame to lose the postings that I've contributed boo hoo

Your site has been noted and bookmarked..

It will be refreshing to read about something other than the sundry dickheads of Big Brother/Endemol.

If I park my Falcon ute in front of your Maserati I promise not to hit it with the towbar.. well not hard anyway..

And as my best friend has a joint down in Australia Street, I may see you up on King Street.

I'd love to live back in Sydney but I don't think I can afford the rents these days..

I'm picturing Tim catching a train to Newtown. If he does, he should keep a look out up the front for me as I go through Newtown most days ;)

Personally it is a shame that BB will be ending and while I can (thankfully) keep reading Tim's opinions, it will be a shame if the intelligent posters here disappear.

So after the finale on Monday night, I've got one episode of my "Erk to the Diary Room" podcast to record (should be on Tuesday afternoon) and then I can concentrate on my main podcast "Erk Pod".

Tim needs to get Twitter ;)

Website duly bookmarked Tim. :o) Looking forward to reading everything else post BB.

You're dog-eared Tim. Well your page is anyway.

Personally I hate driving thru Newtown... I lock the car doors and look straight ahead avoiding all eye contact... My 15 yr old daughter on the other hand LOVES it! She says "It's alive with colourful characters and they all have a story to tell thats better than any TV show." (She watches so much tv too!)
It's her dream to kick back in Newtown.... Ahhh, young aspirations...

kes, yeah the runner up thing would be grouse. i hear what you say about ben - i've liked him better of late and as i've said elsewhere in 3 years i reckon he'll be great. he just doesn't have a backbone right now which made him look bad earlier on.

not sure about who but maybe dancers - that might be fun...

oh brother will stay - for as long as i can keep it up - and i'll continue to put updates and stories about bb on it....

Tim Brunero said...

do say hello if you see me goldstein. and if you hit my car don't worry i'll do an IP search and just key a couple of panels on your ford just for fun.

i must admit i wrote a piece i'd been researching for a while on thursday/friday about the hillsong backed 'mercy ministries' and it felt so good to write about something of substance....

Tim Brunero said...

BTW - i'm going up the gold coast for the finale - and taking a video camera - i'll get interviews with all the previous winners. is there anything else i should do while i'm up there that someone else can think of?

Tim Brunero said...

good luck to you erk... i usually travel by bike so am rarely on the train... but i'll yell if i see you... i've seen your photo you see.

thanks shell - drop me a comment or two over there, we're a bit light on for people with smarts...

julie tell her she's right - sometimes i hate newtown - the grunginess of it... and then i go to the eastern suburbs etc and realise how lucky i am to live with non-judgmental people who think in/believe in stuff and accept everyone... who have the courage to be a bit different...

Tim Brunero said...

oh BTW - if i've stolen any of your lines and used them on big mouth i apologise... if that is you can you please keep posting at timbrunero.com so i have material for other stuff? ;-)

I remember driving through Newtown as a kid on the way to my aunty's house. It was one Greek owned shop after another - the Greek version of Italian Leichhardt. Then during the 80's I'd go there to visit the old army disposal store but it seemed it had become rundown and dangerous - Newtown today is so different from both these experiences.

Speaking of Hillsong, Tim, you might like to check out an interview that Cameron Reilly of The Podcast Network did with two ex-franchisees of Gloria Jeans and their connection to Hillsong.

Hiya,

Despite your attempt to 'put me in my place', Tim, I will be checking out your other site.

Sorry, if I offended you by some of my comments, but it did appear at times that you were swayed by the 'company* (whatever that is).

I really don't have a favourite to win, but I guess by elimination I do. Not that I have actually consciously decided this...just be elimination.

1. Rory could never admit that he had any part in the alice/trav/nobbi fiasco. Rory sat back and gave others directions etc re other not so nice happenings. Rory did 'helicopter' Terri in the shower on purpose (heaven help him if she was my mum). His only redeeming feature is that he was extremely patient with Travis re teaching him bricklaying. On the flipside, he never once let up on Alice...his treadmill comments were constant. It appears from watching livestream and hearing other housemates comments, the most time she ever spent on the treadmill was 2 hours in a 24 hour period and most days it was one hour.

2. Ben. Well only one thing to say, he just goes with the flow. The majority rules for him.

3. Travis...um, well...he is just an innocent but was so used by Nobbi, Ben, and Rory and to an extent by Bianca. I can't in all honesty say that I want him to win, but if he does, I wont mind. Atm, he would be my third choice.

4. Terri..Um, yep, I know you think she is a one nation, pauline hanson, racist, pessimistic old woman. But, as I have said in previous posts, I don't believe you would have thought this without the big brother promotions stating her like of Pauline Hanson (not One Nation). She had me until the silent dance task. I'm still not comfortable about that...am in two minds.

5. Alice, from maybe the second week, she was targetted by Nobbi. Obviously Rory and Ben tagged along. I have never seen Alice be nasty to anyone, she never participated in nasty pranks, she stated her opinion about how she thought it was unfair how the housemates hosed and floured Terri and Terrence in the Kombi. The only time she blotted her copybook was about the treadmill this week. In saying that, I believe the treadmill was her saviour. That's all she had because she had nobody in the house that she could confide in and trust.

So, after that diatribe, I don't care who wins as long as it isn't Rory or Ben.

Ennovy.

Hey Tim!
I'll definitely log on to your main website!
How is your job at 2GB Live News going? Any chance they'll get you a radio program sometime? We could do with a talkback show for Labor voters/leftwingers.
Terri will win Big Brother, it's obvious!
Enjoy the finale and give us all the backstage gossip/news afterwards!
Cheers, and thanks for another great year of "oh brother".
Regards,
EVAN

Great blog this year, and enjoy the finale!

You asked for suggestions for while your at the BB finale/Gold Coast.
I would love to hear from behind the scenes production people/camera operators - their favourite Hms from all the series, and the ones they can't stand.
They see and hear all, and it's obvious some personalities don't translate so well across TV screens, plus we don't get to see everything, and lots of them are struck dumb in the BB house, and some seem to ham it up for the cameras.
Some insider insights would be cool.

My father worked in a factory in Newtown for 35 years from 1950 to 1980.

How the place has changed. Everytime I hear the word "Newtown" I think of dirty, noisy factories, hard working men, and the factory Christmas pary for the worker's kids, with Santa arriving by forklift!

It's good to see you got a bit of a career out of BB, Tim.

I was going to apply for next years series, but looks as though I missed the boat. If a 52 year old can give it a go, so could a 42year old like me! (my 20 something, uni type nieces and nephews are horrified!)

When I first started working I used
to catch a bus through Surrey Hils.
Mum would always say to me not to
look out the window or catch
anyones eye (we are talking about
40 years ago!!!) I think mum was remembering from 20 years before
that!!! Now Surrey Hills is so
trendy - well it was the last time
I went there.
I have also put Tims site on my
favourites - I don't know what
earmarking and bookmarking mean in
computer speak.
